Toshiba PDR-M4: My First Digital Camera Experience

This is the Toshiba PDR-M4, my first digital camera, which I purchased in April 2001.

2.1 whole megapixels, baby! I loved the retro design, and loved the freedom of experimentation it gave because of not having to pay for, and develop, and wait to see every single picture. Going digital meant unlimited photos with instant feedback and gratification. And despite the low resolution, the images were just fine for putting up on Facebook, or viewing on VGA monitors.

It’s hard to believe that I’ve been shooting digital for over 23 years now.
